SPACE WALK. A montage of space imagery from NASA and other sources is being used to transform the long, well-traveled corridor connecting Long Island Jewish Hospital to Schneider Children’s Hospital into a dynamic and most engaging planetarium-like walkway. The views on both sides of the hallway, which include illusionary mirrors, virtually place visitors on the surface of the moon, looking outward beyond the solar system. Motion sensors mounted on the walls are triggered by passersby and surround the viewer with a symphony of electronic music and satellite data chatter.
